  • Cloak or redirect your affiliate link so that other “smart” people won’t change your affiliate code to their own which will make you loose out on the affiliate commission if they buy. ClickBank has recently automatically cloaked all CB affiliate links, but it is still a good idea to hide it.
  • Find CB products which are currently selling for affiliates. It’s easy to tell in the ClickBank marketplace which products are being sold by affiliates and this is important to know. You may not want to promote a product which is brand new or doesn’t have any affiliates promoting it.
  • Don’t just focus on high payout products to promote. Just because a product might sell for a low amount, that doesn’t mean that you won’t make a lot of money as an affiliate selling it. If the product owner is smart, they will have a low-ticket up front product with higher backend product which you will also get a commission on. The only way to find this out is to go through the purchasing process and/or ask the product seller.
  • If you are able to build up a list of potential buyers (people who are interested in the topic of a product) then you will be able to follow-up with them yourself. Promoting your affiliate link is good, but it only gets you a commission is someone buys, there is no long term benefit. Try to capture your traffic via email list before sending them to your affiliate link.
